The authentic alleyways, the ancient doors, the cobblestones lanes and the exceptional view on the Vivarais Mountains and the Rhône valley are all the assets of one of Drôme's most beautiful villages.
Situated in an undulated landscape, Mirmande is a typical perched village in Drôme. Botanical village, it has flowers growing in rock gardens. Mirmande in part of the label "les 100 plus beaux villages de France" (100 most beautiful villages in France).
Walking along the steep alleyways, you will discover Sainte-Foy Church, dating from the 12th century, now used for concerts and exhibitions.
This fortified village on the hill slopes had 3000 inhabitants in the 19th century, who lived on silkworm breeding. The village was saved from ruin by the cubist painter and writer André Lhote.
Mimande is also a village where you will discover talented potters, and a painting exhibition on the streets in May.
